Valerie is a multimedia artist, born in El Salvador, and raised all over Los Angeles County. For over 15 years, she has had the privilege of creating art within the beautifully diverse ecosystem of people, places, cultures and things that LA has to offer. She considers these lived experiences to be the cornerstones of how she approaches tattooing, which she has been practicing since about 2022.
She has had the great fortune of exploring many forms of creating/making throughout her career; embroidery and sewing, printmaking and painting, these mediums and her culture, all inform how she designs for the body and for each persons’ aesthetic. She feels most inspired when she is able to collaborate with an individual to design for a specific persons’s story, body, and ideas. This means she is comfortable designing and tattooing in many styles: from simpler, delicate flowers and foliage to bold and colorful aliens, to dark landscapes decorated with bats, she is excited and experienced in it all.
Valerie believes in the deep transformative abilities tattooing can have and is excited to be part of that journey with you! She can’t wait to hear all y’alls ideas, to connect with you, and collaborate in making a piece that you truly love.
